We will write your message about the importance of Pride, or words support to the local LGBTQ+ community, on a colored construction paper square. Over the course of the month, we will construct a Pride Flag in our window with the supportive sentiments of each and every one of you!

 

We are also collecting optional donations of $1 (or an amount of your choosing) when you contribute to our window display. All proceeds will go to Edge New Jersey, a local organization that provides support services, housing opportunities, prevention strategies and education to those living with HIV and the LGBTQ+ community.

 

We did this last year and considered changing the theme of the display but we felt that it was more important than ever for folks to see messages of love and support from their neighbors.

 

As always, please remember that Pride month exists due to the effort, advocacy and resistance of transgender/gender non-conforming people of color and AIDS activists. Pride has become much more mainstream and commercialized over the years but let’s not forget to honor its origins.
